Guide: How to claim your server

In some cases, your server might already be listed on MinecraftServers.cc. This can happen if a player added your server to the website without your consent. We take this very seriously and want to make sure that only server owners can manage their listings.

If you want to claim ownership of your server, either to manage the listing or delete it, please contact us with the following information:

Accepted proof types

Server domain e-mail address

This is the easiest way for us to verify ownership. Simply send your request e-mail from the domain of the listing. Assuming your mail server is authorized to send e-mails from the domain (dkim & spf), we will transfer the listing to your account.

Server domain DNS record

If you have access to the DNS records of the domain of the listing, you can add a TXT record containing the email address you're contacting us from. We will verify the record and transfer the listing to your account. For instructions on how to create a TXT record, check your DNS provider's documentation.
An example record can be found below:

minecraftservers.example.com. 3600 IN TXT "I would like to claim ownership of play.example.com - I am reaching out via examplecom@gmail.com"

Store entry

If your website has a store page (e.g. Tebex), you can add a message to a (hidden) store page with the e-mail address you're contacting us from. We will verify the message and transfer the listing to your account.

Others

Don't have access to your domain? No problem! We can work with you to find a suitable way to verify ownership. Please reach out to us, and we'll figure something out.
